    Aviation / Aviación

    This pathway is designed to meet the needs of students interested in pursuing careers in aerospace, aviation, air traffic control, and Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) operators or electro-mechanical technicians. There is a significant need in this industry, as many pilots and air traffic controllers are retiring without qualified replacements in the pipeline.     Construction and Carpentry / Construcción y Carpintería

    This course is an introduction to the carpentry trade and its application as a career in the construction industry. Basic building materials and construction methods are thoroughly covered in preparation for the program’s projects. Each course has a laboratory component that applies classroom curriculum to assigned shop projects, includes appropriate local field trips, and begins site preparation and layout for the fall and spring semester’s class projects.     The Cybersecurity pathway is designed to prepare students for the growing field of cybersecurity and computer science. Cybersecurity is the protection of internet-connected systems, including hardware, software, and data from malicious attacks. Once a specialty only associated with government agencies and defense contractors, cybersecurity has now entered the mainstream.     Dental Assistant / Asistente Dental

    The Dental Assistant program of study is designed to initiate secondary students to the field of dentistry and related topics. Students will be able to identify dental related career pathways; explain dental legal and ethical responsibilities; recognize professional healthcare behavior and demeanor; and perform routine dental office procedures.     Electrical and Solar Technology / Electricidad y Tecnología Solar

    The Electrical and Solar Technology pathway introduces students to the basic principles of electricity and proceeds to the concepts of solid-state components such as diodes, transistors, integrated circuits and microprocessor systems, according to the National Electrical Code. Courses simulate actual working conditions in fully equipped laboratories where students put electrical-electronics theory into practice. Along with laboratory experience setting up circuits, troubleshooting and calibrating systems, computer-simulated circuit analysis is used in many of the courses.     Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration / Calefacción, Ventilación, Aire Acondicionado y Refrigeración

    The HVAC/R pathway concentrates on many of the important side issues in the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) field. Students will learn trade-specific basic safety practices, hand and power tools identification and usage, metal piping systems, the fundamentals of electricity, and basic heating systems. Additionally, students will earn the OSHA Safety Certification. Each HVAC course prepares students for success as they train for their senior-level Practicum in Construction Technology.     Mechatronics and Advanced Manufacturing / Mecatrónica y Fabricación Avanzada

    The Mechatronics/ Advanced Manufacturing pathway is designed to prepare students for the growing field of mechatronics, manufacturing, and industrial robotics. Mechatronics is a blending of electrical and mechanical engineering and design. It is a study of the design of “intelligent” systems to achieve improved product quality and performance. On this inquiry-grounded project-based learning course, students act as engineers, designing, analyzing, and building systems that automate industrial processes.     Pharmacy Technician / Técnico Farmaceutico

    The Pharmacy Technician program of study introduces students to occupations and educational opportunities related to the pharmacy profession. Students will learn skills to perform tasks such as: receiving prescription requests from patients and doctors’ offices, accurately measuring medication amounts, packaging, and labeling prescriptions, establishing, and maintaining patient records, accepting payment for prescriptions, processing insurance claims, and managing inventory.

    The practicum courses are designed to give students supervised practical application of knowledge and skills. Practicum experiences can occur as internships, mentorships, independent study, or laboratories. The practicum can either be school-lab-based or work-based.     The Plumbing and Pipefitting Pathway is an instructional program that prepares individuals to practice as licensed plumbers or pipefitters by applying technical knowledge, safety and skills to layout, assemble, install and maintain plumbing fixtures and systems for steam, natural gas, oil, hot water, heating, cooling, drainage, lubricating, sprinkling, and industrial processing systems in the home and business environments.     The Programming and Software Development program of study explores the occupations and educational opportunities associated with researching, designing, developing, and testing operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for medical, industrial, military, communications, aerospace, business, scientific and general computing applications. This program of study also includes exploration into creating, modifying, and testing the codes, forms and scripts that allow computer operations to run.

    The practicum courses are designed to give students supervised practical application of knowledge and skills. Practicum experiences can occur as internships, mentorships, independent study, or laboratories. The practicum can either be school-lab-based or work-based.     Welding / Soldadura

    The Welding program of study focuses on the development and use of automatic and computer-controlled machines, tools, and robots that perform work on metal or plastic.
