Vanessa Lee was born and raised in Carrollton, Texas, where she attended Hebron High School. She attended Collin College while she worked full-time and graduated from UNT Dallas with a degree in interdisciplinary studies.

While in college, she worked as a note-taker for students with disabilities and as an 8^th Grade U.S. History teacher assistant at Henry W. Longfellow Middle School in Dallas ISD. At Longfellow, Ms. Lee became familiar with the magnet process and participated in applicant interviews, SPED support, and administrative support duties. After graduation from UNT Dallas, Ms. Lee began teaching 5^th grade Reading and Social Studies at Martha Turner Reilly Elementary. She is excited about teaching AP Seminar, Principles of Government Administration, and Debate at the Law Magnet!

Ms. Lee's hobbies include working out, reading, and traveling. Her goal is to acquire 15 passport stamps by 2030!
