Conya J. Kossie was born and raised in the Oak Cliff area of Dallas, Texas and is a product of the Dallas Independent School District. Mrs. Kossie attended, Roger Q. Mills Elementary, Oliver Wendell Holmes Junior High and Franklin D.  Roosevelt High School where she graduated in 1979 and was a proud member of the Mustang Marching Band.  Mrs. Kossie attended the University of Houston and Dallas Baptist College, which is now Dallas Baptist University. Mrs. Kossie received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology with a concentration in Counseling. 

Mrs. Kossie has worked for John S. Chase FAIA Architect (which helped to design the Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Center, the I Have a Dream Foundation and has worked for the Dallas Independent School District for 26 years in the Magnet School Office and currently serves as the Community Liaison at the Yvonne A. Ewell Townview Center.

Mrs. Kossie attends the Golden Gate Missionary Baptist Church where she serves as Youth Director, Choir Member and Leadership Team Member.  You can find her working in the Community as a member of the Dallas Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.  She is married and has four grown children.  Mrs. Kossie’ Parents and children are all products of the Dallas Independent School District.
