Mrs. Beth Wing

Ms Wing, a 30-year-veteran educator, joins the W.T. White team bringing a depth and breadth of skills and experience for meeting the needs of high school students in urban settings. Ms. Wing is joining the White team after serving 5 ½ years in Dallas ISD: 2 years as an Assistant Principal at Bryan Adams High School, and 3 ½ years as the Principal of Dealey Montessori and International Academy. Before working in Dallas ISD, Ms. Wing was an Assistant Principal at Lake Highlands High School and taught Spanish for over 20 years in Richardson ISD and at Greenhill School. Ms. Wing is a graduate of Vanderbilt University (Bachelors of Science in Spanish and Secondary Education) and Southern Methodist University (Masters of Liberal Studies and Masters of Education Accelerated School Leadership Program).

Throughout her career, Ms. Wing’s core belief that an excellent education is a fundamental human right has driven her to lead teams in continuous improvement at all levels. The essential question that informs her work is “What is best for students?”. At Dealey, this student centered approach helped her to lead her team to align curriculum-resulting in improved student achievement and student growth for all student groups. At Bryan Adams, she was part
of a team that successfully unified the school in implementing the Leadership Academy for all
students.

Ms. Wing’s accomplishments include:
¡ñ Improving access and success for students in college level courses (Dual Credit, AP, On Ramps) courses through AVID supports
¡ñ Implementing effective collaboration in PLC based on data-driven instruction and curriculum alignment
¡ñ Supporting and celebrating bilingualism in school communities through programing, courses and systems
¡ñ Inviting community members and families to engage in ongoing communication and input into decision making
¡ñ Developing systems to ensure distributed leadership and leveraging knowledge and skills of all staff members to develop and implement effective campus systems
¡ñ Implementing design thinking for inclusive and creative problem solving
¡ñ Leading all stakeholders in the development and pursuit of a shared campus vision, mission and goals

Ms. Wing is honored to be leading W. T. White. She believes wholeheartedly in the importance and power of an excellent neighborhood school that prepares ALL students for life. She looks forward to building relationships with the Longhorn faculty, staff, parents, the community, and alumni in order to work together to “provide a rigorous and equitable education to meet the needs of all students from diverse backgrounds and empower them to achieve success in life”
