• Biomedical Preparatory at UT Southwestern will offer students a program focused on biomedical sciences, stimulating curiosity about science's wonders and providing children with a foundation for future discovery.   The learning experience will include Design Thinking, where students will begin with empathy first when designing solutions to real-world problems. The students will participate in exploratory lab experiments, Robotics, and how to code those robots. Coding and Social and Emotional Learning builds the skills, knowledge, and attitudes that both students and adults need to succeed in school, work, and life.  They include knowing and controlling your emotions, teamwork, understanding others, making positive choices, and resilience.

Our curriculum is aligned to The Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) are the adopted by the State Board of Education.  The state standards are the instructional foundation.  The Dallas ISD Curriculum Overview site outlines what is expected of students in every subject at every grade level. Additionally, all students will engage in robotics, coding, and biomedical activities. Additionally, we will be working with a curriculum advisory to develop unique learning opportunities tailored to this school model.
