    3. College Readiness: AVID places a strong emphasis on college and career readiness. Students engage in activities and discussions that help them explore and plan for their post-secondary education, including researching colleges and universities, preparing for standardized tests, and understanding the college application process.

    4. Organization and Time Management: AVID helps students develop organizational skills and effective time management techniques, including the use of planners and other tools to keep track of assignments, tests, and extracurricular activities.

    5. Critical Thinking and Inquiry: AVID encourages students to think critically, ask questions, and actively engage with their learning. It promotes a growth mindset and a willingness to challenge oneself academically.

    6. Field Trips and College Visits: AVID programs often include field trips to colleges and universities, allowing students to explore different campuses, interact with college students, and gain a deeper understanding of what to expect in a higher education setting.
