    DISD Reading List - DISD Reading List
     - Sponsored by Texas Library Association and Children’s Round Table, these books are suggested as good books by for children ages 2 to grade 2. Books are recommended annually.
     -  Books showcasing excellence in writing for younger students in grades K-3. These books are chosen annually by Abilene elementary school librarians.
     - A recommended list of Non-fiction and fiction Bilingual/Spanish books for grades K-3. This book list is created annually by Dallas Librarians to reinforce pleasure reading for our bilingual students.
     - For grades 3-6, 20 nominated books are chosen annually by the Texas Bluebonnet Award Committee. The winning book is voted for by 3rd -6th  grade students.
