Students at Gilliam Collegiate Academy are enrolled in rigorous high school and college courses at the same time.  Therefore, the amount of instructional time they are allowed to miss for extra-curricular activities is limited .  This limitation allows GCA students to participate in more competitive sports and fine arts programs at their home school but maintains academics and college success as their primary focus.  Students also have the opportunity to participate in campus intramural sports and non-competitive events and clubs.
