Principal Cheryl Freeman has over 30 years of experience in education. She is a product of the Dallas Independent School District, attending elementary, middle and high school in Dallas. She has served as a teacher, assistant principal and principal all within the Dallas Independent School District. She has served as principal in several schools in Â鶹Çømaking a positive impact and transforming campuses.

She has a wealth of experience as an educator in urban settings at the elementary school level. Her experiences have helped her understand and relate to issues surrounding schools today.

Principal Freeman wholeheartedly believes that great schools are the result of great teachers and her primary goal is to continue to support the teachers of Clara Oliver Elementary School and to provide them with effective leadership and the tools they need to continue to be successful and help scholars grow and prosper.

Principal Freeman is a passionate and transformative leader who is grateful to serve and lead in the East Oak Cliff sector of the Dallas community. She believes in excellence and equity for all while setting high expectations and empowering teachers as leaders and strengthening relationships.

She is thrilled about serving the community and scholars of Clara Oliver and looks forward to working to ensure that the scholars of Clara Oliver have a school year filled with quality instruction and learning. She is encouraging parents to get involved with the school PTA. At Clara Oliver, “We are Learning Today, to Lead Tomorrow.”
