Greeting Team Marsalis,

My name is Kristi Coleman, and I am delighted to join Team Marsalis as your school counselor,  and partnering with each of you in the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. I come to you with 20 + years of experience in the field of education. I have had the wonderful pleasure of serving students, families, faculty/staff and community as a teacher and school counselor. I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education from the University of Central Arkansas and a Master of Arts in School Counseling from Amberton University. It has been an absolute privilege to serve in my current role at both the elementary and secondary levels. Being wife to Derrick and mother to Kolbi, Kaydon and Kristian is without a doubt my greatest joy. I come from a family of educators so you can say it's in my blood.  Helping students reach and maximize his or her full potential through resources and opportunities is my passion and what drives me to do this amazing work that we educators get to do day after day. Most importantly, through compassion, commitment and dedication for each student I serve, the goal I strive to attain each day I am extended the chance, is to work and assist with the growth and development of young scholars.
