Dr. Morales has occupied different leadership positions at the most key higher education institutions in Puerto Rico. As the Dean of Administrative Affairs of the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico, she led the Human Resources, Financial, and Academic Support Services Departments. She also played a vital role in accrediting the institution by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education. In subsequent years, Dr. Lourdes Morales thrived as the Universidad del Este Off-Campus Director. Her significant achievement was to increase campus enrollment by 83% in two years. Parallel to her administrative and leadership accomplishments, Lourdes shares a passion for teaching demonstrated by her 35 years of facilitating business courses in the following areas: Public Policy  Towards Business, Collective Bargaining, Supervision and Leadership, Organizational Theory and Practice, and International Business, among others at the undergraduate and graduate school.

In 2005, as part of her professional growth, she broadened her horizons and experience as she became an elementary school teacher. At that point, she taught second and third grade with a focus on Math and Science. In 2010 she became the Math Coach at Zaragoza Elementary School, coordinating the school's efforts to increase Math scores by 25%.   In 2011 she joined S. S. Conner Elementary School, an academically unacceptable campus, as the new Assistant Principal, playing an instrumental role in transforming the school. S. S. Conner was one of the 26 schools in the District meeting Academic Yearly Progress (A.Y.P.).

As the Assistant Principal of Nathan Adams Elementary School, she led the team responsible for transforming the Dual Language Bilingual Two-Way program and establishing the New Dual Language Two Way Bilingual Model implemented in 2015. Currently, Dr. Morales is the proud Principal of John J. Pershing ES. Her focus is to provide the best learning opportunity for all our scholars and support the distinguished faculty and staff collaborating with her to become the first Elementary STEAM Collegiate Academy in Dallas Independent School District.
