• Introducing Our New Principal

    John Falke was born and raised in Houston, Texas, and is a proud product of Texas public schools. He studied at the University of Texas at Austin, earning bachelor's degrees in Business Honors and Supply Chain Management. Upon graduation, he began his career as a math teacher in Dallas ISD, where he taught math at Edison Middle Learning Center and Dade Middle School while earning a master's degree in Education from Southern Methodist University.

    During his tenure at Edison and Dade, Falke immersed himself in creating engaging and supportive learning environments, fostering academic growth and personal development among his students. He transitioned to a leadership role at Comstock Middle School, where he began earning his principal certification and served as the instructional lead teacher for math. In this role, he partnered with students, staff, and parents to positively shape the student experience and curricular program.

    After his time at Comstock, Falke moved to Massachusetts to pursue a master's degree in Education Policy and Analysis at Harvard University, where he further refined his approach to educational leadership. His experiences at the intersection of theory and practice equipped him with innovative strategies to enhance instructional design and school operations. He returned to Â鶹Çøto serve as an assistant principal at Townview Magnet Center, where he supported teachers and staff across all six schools while cultivating college readiness and intellectual rigor to prepare students for college and beyond.

    As the principal of Benjamin Franklin International Exploratory Academy, Falke is thrilled to collaborate with students, parents, and staff to cultivate an inclusive and empowering learning environment. His vision is grounded in fostering a school culture where every student can thrive academically and socially, supported by excellent instruction and a sense of belonging. Falke looks forward to working with the campus community to ensure that Franklin will continue to be a place where students not only learn but also grow into confident and compassionate leaders.
