Principal's Letter

Mrs. Christina Rodriguez Dimanh is a dedicated educator and proud K-12 product of Dallas ISD. She graduated from the School of Education & Social Services Magnet at Townview Center, where she first developed a strong foundation in teaching and community service. She was raised by her mother, a 3rd-grade bilingual teacher for over 40 years at Stemmons Elementary, and her father, who served as a community liaison at North Dallas High School for nearly 20 years.

Completing her undergraduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin, she received bachelor's degrees in Government and History. She began her education career as a Teaching Assistant and teacher at an Early Childhood Development Center in Austin, nurturing young minds for four years. Furthering her expertise, she pursued a Master of Education in Second Language Acquisition at Texas Wesleyan University, teaching English abroad in Ecuador and Peru, ESL to adults, and at a Private Catholic School in Fort Worth.

In 2015, she accepted a teaching position at Sunset High School, where she excelled as a Distinguished Teacher, curriculum writer, and district trainer. Later, she became an assistant principal at North Dallas High School, leading the School Choice Innovation Application and the math department to earn a state distinction. Additionally, she was nominated to the Principal Residency program, leading at Dr. L. G. Pinkston High School and G. W. Truett Elementary, an ACE campus.

Mrs. Rodriguez Dimanh is married to her husband, Gary, an AP Calculus and Robotics teacher at Sunset High School. Together they have a beautiful son named Levi, a German Shepheard, Labrador, a pug, and many fish. 

Joining the team at Cowart Elementary, she is thrilled by the opportunity to rejoin her childhood neighborhood and work with the teachers and community to help students reach their full potential. Inspired by Ellen Ochoa, the first Latina astronaut, who said, “The path from dreams to success does exist. May you have the vision to find it, the courage to get on to it, and the perseverance to follow it.” She passionately believes that a learning environment that nurtures an inclusive and compassionate environment where each child feels seen, heard, and valued will leave an everlasting impact, empowering students to aim high and reach for the stars in their pursuits.

La Sra. Christina Rodríguez Dimanh es una educadora dedicada y orgullosa producto del distrito escolar de Â鶹Çødesde Kínder hasta el 12° grado. Se graduó de la Escuela de Educación y Servicios Sociales en el Centro Townview, donde desarrolló una sólida base en la enseñanza y el servicio comunitario. Fue criada por su madre, una maestra bilingüe de tercer grado por más de 40 años en la Primaria Stemmons, y su padre, quien trabajó como enlace comunitario en la Preparatoria North Dallas durante casi 20 años.

Completó sus estudios universitarios en la Universidad de Texas en Austin, obteniendo títulos en Gobierno e Historia. Inició su carrera educativa como Asistente de Enseñanza y maestra en un Centro de Desarrollo Infantil en Austin, donde nutrió las mentes jóvenes durante cuatro años. Motivada a ampliar su experiencia, cursó una Maestría en Educación en Adquisición del Segundo Idioma en la Universidad de Texas Wesleyan, enseñando inglés en el extranjero en Ecuador y Perú, además de inglés como segundo idioma a adultos y en una Escuela Católica Privada en Fort Worth.

En 2015, aceptó un puesto de maestra en la Preparatoria Sunset, donde destacó como Maestra Distinguida, autora de planes de estudio y capacitadora del distrito. Posteriormente, se convirtió en subdirectora de la Preparatoria North Dallas, liderando la Aplicación de Innovación de Opción Escolar y el departamento de matemáticas, logrando una distinción estatal. Además, fue nominada al programa de Residencia de Directores, liderando la Preparatoria Dr. L. G. Pinkston y la Primaria G. W. Truett, una escuela ACE.

La Sra. Rodríguez Dimanh está casada con su esposo, Gary, quien es maestro de Cálculo Avanzado y Robótica en la Preparatoria Sunset. Juntos tienen un hermoso hijo llamado Levi, un Pastor Alemán, Labrador, un pug y muchos peces.

Al unirse al equipo de la Primaria Cowart, está emocionada por la oportunidad de volver a su vecindario de infancia y trabajar junto a los maestros y la comunidad para ayudar a los estudiantes a alcanzar su máximo potencial. Inspirada por Ellen Ochoa, la primera astronauta latina, quien dijo: "El camino de los sueños al éxito existe. Que tengas la visión para encontrarlo, el coraje para abordarlo y la perseverancia para seguirlo". Cree apasionadamente que un ambiente de aprendizaje que fomente la inclusión y la compasión, donde cada niño se sienta visto, escuchado y valorado, dejará un impacto duradero, empoderando a los estudiantes para apuntar alto y alcanzar las estrellas en sus aspiraciones.
