Greetings!

I am Lakendra Weaver. I serve as one of the School Counselors at the wonderful Eddie Bernice Johnson Elementary School. I have been in Education for 9 years serving as a Teacher, Campus Instructional Coach, and Counselor. I am a proud alumni of David W. Carter High School. I  received an associate's degree in Early Childhood Education from Mountain View College, a bachelor’s degree in Education , and a master’s degree in School Counseling from Dallas Baptist University. I am excited to be a part of an outstanding team who will serve a phenomenal group of elementary students that will lead our future one day.  I will be scheduling guidance lessons throughout the school year. All lessons are based on the Texas Model where the focus will be on academic, career & personal/social development of all students. Additionally, I will be available for individual counseling sessions throughout the year for helping students to discuss specific concerns they may be facing.
