    District Vision, Mission, Goals:

Dedication runs strong throughout the Dallas Independent School District with more than 19,000 employees working toward realizing our vision of becoming the best urban district in the United States. To truly impact the lives of students and govern our day-to-day actions, the Dallas Â鶹Çø adopted its core beliefs and Principles of Public Service for the district to follow. These principles and beliefs serve as a guidepost to everything we do.

VISION: Â鶹Çøseeks to be a premier urban school district

    Campus Mission Statement

Our mission at John W. Runyon Elementary School is to provide a safe, secure and nurturing environment as we create successful, empowered, lifelong learners; and to attain exemplary status by providing rigorous instruction to all of our scholars through educator, parent, scholar and community collaboration, in conjunction with professional growth and development.

    Our Goal

The school staff works diligently with parents and the community to ensure student success. For the 2023-2024 school year, we will continue to implement innovative programs and research-based instructional practices to continue increasing student academic achievement.

Parents are valued partners and are encouraged to participate in school activities. Our staff hosts workshops and trainings for parents in order that they may be able to assist their children in their academic and social development. Other parent involvement opportunities include volunteering in classrooms, participating in PTA, and serving on the Site-Based Decision Making committee.
