• Reevaluation & Options

    Class Rank starts at the end of the first semester of sophomore year and continues to be reevaluated at of each semester. No rank is final until all grades are validated at the end of senior year. 鶹allows schools to choose between two options to assign class rankings. 

    Option 1:

    The traditional method ranks each student in a graduating class based on their GPA. Under this method, the student with the highest GPA is ranked first; the student with the second-highest GPA is second in the class, etc. The following high schools use Option 1 for class rankings:

    Option 2

    Under this option, class rank is only assigned to the Top 10% of a given class, and rankings appear only on the academic achievement record (transcript) of students in the top 10 percent. Additionally, the district provides students in the top 10% a certification of class rank containing the student’s numerical class rank. The following high schools use Option 2 for class ranking:
