    Sports Medicine Philosophy

The main premise of Dallas Independent School District Sports Medicine is that we care. This may be a simple idea, but we truly care about the student-athlete and the integrity of our profession. It is the duty of the Sports Medicine staff to ethically treat all student-athletes fairly regardless of sport, age, gender, race, color or religion. In addition, the Sports Medicine staff is responsible for providing the best possible medical care within the confines of the resources that are available. Respectful and professional rapport between staff and patient will be extended to everyone and will be expected in return.

Our primary goal is to always put the health and welfare of the student-athlete first. It is the goal of the Sports Medicine staff to return all injured and ill athletes to participation as soon as the student-athlete is medically fit to participate without causing further harm to the person involved.
