Before you begin upgrading Java, please follow the steps below to see if the Automatic prompting for Activex controls internet option is Enabled.
From the Internet Explorer menu bar, Select Tools >> Internet Options >> Security >> Custom level.
Scroll down until you see the setting for Automatic prompting for ActiveX controls and make sure this setting is set to Enable.
If this option is not Enabled please select Enable >> Click Ok >> Answer ‘Yes’ to Are you sure you want to change the settings for this zone? >> Click Apply to save the changes.
Now you are ready to install Java by logging into the Oracle test instance using the credentials below to begin the process.
Oracle Test Login URL:
User Name: javainstall1
Password: javasetup1
After you have exited the Oracle test instance you will receive a JAVA install email confirmation.
